Sunday Salon: The Lung Edition

This is just a quick note to let you all know that there probably won’t be any posts here for a couple of weeks. Turns out this pneumonia I’ve been battling is actually an abscess in my lung. I’ll be having surgery Monday and from what I understand, recovery is long and painful. I’ll see you all soon hopefully!

Rachel, I am so sorry to hear this…you have been through SO much…I know this is discouraging personally and very difficult for your family as well. I will pray for you and put your name with my prayer partner friends. I hope Travis will update us and let us know when you can have visitors.

Hi Rachel, Travis has done a great job of keeping us up to date on your progress and we are so thankful for this. I know you wouldn’t want us all to be fussing over you and that you just want to get back to your life. I was thinking about you today and remembered a blog post from The Bloggess and made me think of you. I can see you doing something like this! You should only read this entry once you can whole heartily laugh!!! I hope you enjoy the laugh! http://thebloggess.com/2011/06/and-thats-why-you-should-learn-to-pick-your-battles/

    Take care Rachel!

Travis has done awesome keeping us all up to date. Can’t wait until you are out and about! So glad you are moving to a rehab hospital and are off the ventilator. It is going to take time yet, so try to not get too upset when you don’t make as much progress as you want as quickly as you want. Miss your posts.
