Christmas Spirit

Our furnace broke last night right before dinner. Luckily, we have a service plan and someone could come within the hour to fix it. Who doesn't love to spend an unexpected $650 right before Christmas on something as fun as furnace repair? Anyway, West followed the service man around the whole time, awed that one person could have so many tools. While he was writing up our bill, West gave him a Hershey's kiss (I don't think his gesture got us a price break unfortunately) and then when he left, West sobbed his little eyes out crying, "I didn't get to give him a hug and kiss. I wanted to give him a hug and kiss goodbye." Sorry, little fella – next time we'll know.

Sucks about the furnace, super sweet little West though. Ted loved the Christmas card. Said that he can’t believe how much the boys look alike. He said when West was first born, they looked so different, and now, without the missing tooth, he’d have trouble telling them apart. Uh, why does he remember so much about kids he never sees?
